Bath House Row in Hot Springs
That serene fountain is really 150 degree spring water! It was quite hot to the touch. Since it was 100 outside, there is no steam. We highly recommend a trip to hot springs if you are in the area. Hot Springs is actually a national park.
Muscles McHolladay
The third floor of the bath house museum was this cool looking gym. Jennie was ready to go!
Go The Distance
This is the view mid-way up the Peak Trail which, as the name implies, heads to the top of the hill. The trail is only about a half mile, but when it's straight up and 100 degrees outside, it could just as easily be a marathon. When J and I reached the summit, we took the elevator up the 21 story observation tower. Then we walked back down.

Gourmet Buffet? No. A Hot-Dog Buffet! Go Hilton!
In Hilton's defense, there is some sort of big girls soccer tournament in town and I think they are catering to that demographic...girls 12-18 or so.

Acadia = YUM.
One of our classmates suggested visiting a small little neighborhood called Hillcrest. She recommended Acadia as one of the better restaurants. She was right. Excellent food, reasonable price and great atmosphere. A+
President B. Holladay
I am sitting in the chair that the president sits in at high-level meetings. I think they call this the briefing room.
The Clinton Oval Office
Jennie and I darted out of class today to make it to the Clinton Presidential Library. No books, but a nice introspective into the Clinton years. This is a replica of the oval office inside the library. I forgot to take a picture of the exterior of the library and gardens....maybe tomorrow.

Heifer International Headquarters...blurry and in the dark
So, their parking lot looks like it needs mowing, but I'm guessing they planned it that way.
Portrait of Two Feet Under a Table
My latest artistic shot. I'll be selling framed photos on ebay for $99
Looking Toward the River in Little Rock
Hard to see in the dark, but the Arkansas River runs just behind that tent.
On to Binder #2
We are officially done with our 400 page binder. This one only has about 2,000 pages. Yay!

Free Upgrade!
So, the ladies at Alamo Rent-A-Car were symphatic to our travel woes. So, we got a FREE upgrade. Are we touring around in the 'compact' cool-looking Nissan....NO!!! We've been 'upgraded' to a gold Ford Taurus (with a non-working remote). Boy, do we look cool.
Hasta La Vista, La Quinta!
Well, we've honestly seen better. Since this was a school venture, we're not all about wasting district dollars, but we also like beds with no springs popping out, dry towels and non-stained carpets. So, we're contributing some of our own hard earned funds to move up the road...to the Hilton.
So, What do you do when nothing is open?
We both agree...this may go down as our worst travel day. I snapped this photo around 5:25am (eastern). We literally left at this exact same time yesterday to try to get to Little Rock. Since we got in so late (or early), the rental car facility is closed until 6am central time. Our class begins at 8:30 sharp, so we no choice, but to stay here until we can get a car. Good times.
Flight Delayed...
As you can see, Jennie is very thrilled to still be in chicago at 2am. We've almost been up 24 hours.

Which One Will Win?
Our return home gave the cats reason to celebrate. They got to get out of their kitty den and fight for a spell.
Little Rock Bound...but not anytime soon.
Jennie and I were slated to leave Flint this morning at 7:02am. It's about 7:02 right now and our flight has been cancelled due to technical problems with the plane. We are re-booked for an 8:05pm flight. I guess we go home and sleep...

Trimmin' the trees
This poorly composed shot out of our kitchen door window shows Hulett's Tree service working on one of our trees. Today we are having two large limbs removed from the two trees between the house and garage. We are also getting two large stumps (one is 3 feet in diameter, the other 2 feet) ground as well as about 7 'stumps' from shrubs in the front of the house. The guys have been here since about 8:45 this morning. I will try to get more photos up later.

On the road...again.
I drive about 2,000,000 each year...at least it feels that way. Here I am on yet another trip somewhere. Clearly, I was bored.

Downtown Imlay City
One of Michigan's "Cool Cities." Imlay City is our neighbor to the east. I think it would be nifty to have an office here someday.
Love my Sirius Satellite Radio!
I know, I know! I'm in the broadcasting business (at least part time.) And I DO support terrestrial radio/TV. But the one thing I really enjoy about Sirius is that I can receive the same channel during a 300 road trip with no signal fade!

Wicked!
Jennie and I saw the play "Wicked" Tuesday night. Her parents were nice enough to take us. It's hard to read, but we're at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.
Football frenzy at MSU
I stopped by the International Center at Michigan State University for lunch and saw a group of 100 or so students and faculty watching World Cup. I wish I had time to watch some with them. I was in London during the 98 World Cup.
Is there any road in Michigan that is not under construction
On my way to MSU today and 65 of the 75 mile road trip was under construction...UGH!

I guess even fire trucks need a fill up
When I took this photo, I was sure that the pump would read $600 for gas, but they only got 40 gallons.
